Dr. Terri Martin
Dr. Martin grew up in Maine and New Hampshire before moving to Rhode Island to pursue a degree in Architecture and Engineering. After graduation she practiced in Boston and Cambridge, MA, eventually consulting for environmental agencies. Her involvement with the environmental and scientific community eventually led to her decision to pursue a secondary career in veterinary medicine. She was accepted at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and during her veterinary training also worked in the Tufts ICU as well as with a local mobile surgical practice.
Upon graduating from Tufts with honors, she completed an intensive internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital-Boston in emergency, general medicine, and surgery. She has a particular interest in surgery, emergency, and geriatric medicine. She has also been involved with breed rescue as well as shelter medicine in the area.
Dr. Martin lives in Hopkinton, MA with her husband, Jim, and her rescued mixed breed dog, Elwood. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, and working on renovating their c.1860 farm house.
